Matera Paper Company is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Class A or B CDL Driver in our Houston location. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities:

Deliver materials to the customer, which includes assistance with unloading and ensuring delivery of ticket with material. Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests as necessary.

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor. Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations. Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years verifiable CDL current driving experience. Current Class A or B CDL. Hazmat endorsement preferred. Familiar with DOT/FMCSA compliance regulations as it applies to position. Must pass MVR review for moving violations. Valid DOT Medical Card. Able to lift 40 lbs and deliver customer freight from small to large customers. Going up ramps, confined areas, etc. Able to operate dolly, truck lift. Able to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc). Must successfully submit and pass CDL Safety Performance Check/drug screen/Driving Test. Must be able to work and contribute to a positive working environment and maintain a positive working attitude. Possess problem solving, listening and leadership skills. Must be goal oriented, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines. Must possess excellent communication skills, time management skills, organizational skills, have the ambition to succeed, and be a self-motivator. Applicants must have the ability to multi task and learn quickly, as well as, be service minded, aggressive and congenial. General computer skills are required.

Monday – Friday

Work schedule is 45 weekly.
