JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns to generate new customers and improve customer retention in the Ferguson Fire & Fabrication business. This position will organize, coordinate and execute marketing campaigns and events in alignment with the business groups and branch network. Work closely with the Ferguson Fire and Fabrication business groups and P&L executives to understand overall business goals and revenue targets to design and manage the implementation of marketing strategies around those goals.
Areas of Impact:
Interfaces with key HQ departments including but not limited to Brand Marketing, Market Research, Business Group leadership, National Accounts, Strategic Products Group, Sourcing, Pricing, eBusiness, IT.
Responsible for the development of annual Ferguson Fire and Fabrication marketing plan that is aligned with the business strategic plan.
Development of customer facing marketing programs to include marketing collateral (trade print and online ads, video content), sales enablement tools (brochures, presentations), updating the Fire & Fabrication website content and coordination of all other promotional programs for the business.
Maintain updated sales enablement tools and coordinate implementation and distribution that supports the sales organization (e.g. sufficient supplies, reordering, and availability on Pipeline).
Lead the development and position of messaging that differentiates Ferguson channel products and services in the market and delivers relevant customer value.
Develop marketing plans to support new Greenfield locations and strategic acquisitions
Demand generation and retention — develop the marketing strategy and manage the multi-media advertising and promotional programs that drive awareness and demand for FFF channel products and services from the following focus customer segments:
Independent Fire suppression contractors
Commercial Contractor – Sprinkler division
Fire Protection Service Contractors
Alarm and detection contractors
Special hazards contractors
Work in conjunction with Counter Marketing Manager to insure disciplined execution of Fire & Fabrication counter and promotional programs.
Develop internal awareness campaign to achieve greater understanding of Ferguson Fire and Fabrication capabilities and drive more opportunity from other business groups.
Collaboratively develop the district/branch allocations of vendor marketing co-op
Keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
Assume financial responsibility of the Trade Marketing budget and submit budget proposals according to the annual planning/budgeting process.
Generate, nurture and track the closure of customer leads.
Gather and report customer intelligence to sales teams.
Keep abreast of social media demands and email and direct mail campaigns.
Compose and incorporate digital/rich media where appropriate (e.g. digital signage, links from emails, branch landing pages, digital signage).
Create programs that support brand loyalty and integrate existing customer loyalty programs.
Attend trade shows and events to market Fire & Fabrication products where and when appropriate.
Develop thorough understanding of Fire & Fabrication product lines and value chain.
Associate and Operational Management:
Associate must be self-directed, proactive, well organized and demonstrate the ability to develop solutions to challenges that occur during performing the job duties.
Manage annual marketing budget that includes both direct and vendor co-op funding.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate Degree in Marketing or MBA preferred
Ten (10) of marketing experience is preferred. Experience with Maintanence, Repair and Operations business a plus.

Associate is expected to demonstrate proficiency across the following areas of technical knowledge and skill:
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 software (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate in writing.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally.
Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets, conference phone, projectors, displays, and mobile devices.
Ability to effectively utilize postal and shipping/receiving systems.
