Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Product Specialist.

As a Product Specialist, you will work with Business Development, Branches, Manufacturers, D.C. Management and others as necessary to compile, validate, create, load, and maintain master level product data.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, standardize and load product data into the master product file using automated tools and processes

  • Work with manufacturers to gather necessary product information for the master product file; this includes assisting them in understanding the need for data, how it is used, and developing better ways of communicating that data when new products are to be included within the Ferguson master file (CVR)

  • Maintain all basic product file maintenance screens

  • Process requests for product changes from other departments as appropriate

  • Work continuously toward improving product file processes

  • Support programs, goals, and initiatives of the department and company

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level

  • Familiarity with database tools and concepts

  • Working knowledge of Trilogie

  • Demonstrated ability to learn software programs quickly based on previous performance or experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong team player

  • Microsoft Access / Excel

  • Ability to type 50 words per minute with no errors

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Must demonstrate initiative

  • Must be capable of creative problem solving

  • Ability to effectively prioritize daily activities

  • Ability to work independently
