Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. QA Analyst - MS Dynamics AX in Newport News, Virginia
Ferguson is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst with experience in the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform to join our talented team of technical professionals who are enabling success in our Facilities Supply business.
Use Requirements, User Stories and Design to independently prepare a test plan with test cases
Independently execute tests based on test plans to ensure software meets end-user requirements
Independently create test estimates based on the test plan and manage/meet deadlines created by test estimates.
Independently identifies defects and correctly/consistently assigns severity rating
Review intermediate test plans as junior reviewer
Validate changes did not break existing software (Regression Testing).
Coordinate with Performance and Automation Test Engineers to ensure performance requirements are met
Assist and/or participate in Formal User Acceptance Testing.
Lead team of QA and Business Analysts in production systems testing after system maintenance
Experience in Software Testing and Test Documentation, included but not limited to creating, maintaining, and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Minimum of 2 years software testing experience
Experience with Dynamics AX Testing
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Related or Business related field
Solid understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g. functional, usability, performance)
Solid understanding of the software development life cycle methodologies, processes and procedures
Detail orientated, Ability to organize and prioritize work, aptitude for analyzing data and business processes, ability to follow instructions, while also applying learned knowledge, ability to problem solve and think analytically, work with minimal supervision and to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and non-written formats
Familiarity with .Net, C#, C++, X++ Experience with common testing tools, including HP Quality Center, HP ALM,
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
