JOB FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Warehouse Manager manages the storage, transport and distribution of equipment, materials and products sold and produced by the organization. General areas of responsibility include receiving supplier shipments; picking customer orders; shipping, transportation and delivery of materials and customer orders; and inventory organization, management and control. Positions in the warehouse are responsible for the efficient use of the organization's storage and distribution facilities.
AREAS OF IMPACT:
Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation. Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the job function. Focus is on short to mid-term operational plans (e.g., 1 to 2 years). Provides measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results. Typically does not have expenditure budget or profit and loss accountability, but may manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by management.
Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem. Problems are difficult and moderately complex. Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialties. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues. Has autonomy and authority to define solutions to non-routine problems within established operational boundaries and procedures.
•Act as the responsible leader for the Warehouse providing leadership, direction and motivation to ensure the completion ofWarehouse objectives.
•Hire, develop, motivate and deploy a high performing team of associates, set weekly work schedules and manage labor costsas a percentage of gross profit.
•Supervise the shipping and receiving functions ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inbound and outbound shipments.
•Monitor staff to ensure that all machines and equipment are operated in a safe manner.
•Responsible for managing activities of distribution, involving the reception, delivery and control of inventory with the objective of satisfying internal and external client needs within compatible terms and costs.
•Manage the warehouse staff duties to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively and that work schedules andtargets are met.
•Directs and supervises warehouse staff.
•Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop staff to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met.
•Develop and implement materials handling procedures; monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources,prioritize spending and achieve volume, timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
•Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations andprocedures.
•Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team.
•Conduct regular associate meetings.
•Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.
ASSOCIATE AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT:
Has direct or indirect responsibility for the formal supervision of (35) associates.Has authority to make job status recommendations for associates. Has authority to fill approved job vacancies and initiate associate disciplinary action including termination. Supports enterprise business and sales objectives through the effective and efficient performance of individual responsibilities and supervision of associates.
May have authority to approve budgeted expenditures within established limits or has oversight of a portion of an established budget. Has no expenditure budget setting responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of five (5) years of experience is typically required to perform at expectation. Applies advanced knowledge of specific technical areas.
TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Associate is expected to operate at the expert level across the following areas of technical knowledge and skill:

•Ability to effectively operate motorized and/or manual lifting devices.
•Certification in applicable motorized equipment required (i.e. Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet Jack, Picker, etc.).
*WMS/Barcode Scanner experience preferred.
•Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions.
•Requires exposure to high places.
•Requires giving and/or receiving verbal communication.
•Requires giving and/or receiving written communication.
•Requires walking, bending, and/or squatting.
•Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
•Requires getting into positions such as kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling.
•Occasionally requires carrying objects that are up to 50 lbs by hand.
•Occasionally requires carrying objects that are 50 lbs or more using equipment.
Role is classified as Exempt and is not eligible to receive additional compensation for hours worked in excess of the relevant State and Federal standards.
Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory including arriving at the time scheduled by your supervisor daily.
