Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Credit Manager.
As a Credit Manager, you will:
Evaluate and set credit limits that minimize the organization’s credit risk but are consistent with company practices
Manage the organization’s most complex, large, or difficult credit accounts to maintain positive customer relations and minimize debts outstanding
Implement the organization’s credit policies so that an acceptable level of risk is maintained, repayments are made on time, losses are kept to a minimum, and arrears are economically collected
Contact customers regarding delinquent payments and prepare reports reflecting status of credit and collection activity
Manage the credit and collection activities to identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve the overall performance of the team
Consistently review and assess the status of individual credit accounts so that problem debts can be quickly identified and addressed
Review, reject, or authorize credit applications in accordance with company standards
Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members
Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management
A successful Credit Manager will possess the following:
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Problem-solving, negotiation abilities
Positive, friendly attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally
Ability to build strong relationships with associates and customers
Ability and willingness to be coached
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
