Job Description:

The HR Business Partner enables the business strategy by creating an HR strategy to support the business. They identify gaps and areas of opportunity and work together to develop an approach to support the business growth. They are responsible for ensuring we meet the associate needs of their district(s) via the development and execution of implementation plans.

The HR Business Partner will manage the training resources in their district(s). This position reports into the Director of their business group with a strong dotted line into their district(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with District Manager to create an HR strategy and execution plan to support the business strategy

  • Building capabilities; identifying what we need to be successful both now and in the future

  • Succession Planning; identifying high potentials, developments plans the next generation leaders, addressing demographic changes (retirement and labor shortages etc.)

  • Aligning business and training curriculum; to develop highly skilled associates

  • Support of diversity and inclusion strategy

  • Change Management execution

  • Leadership training, development and coaching

  • Compensation Planning

  • Managing labor force

  • Succession planning and performance management

  • Assist with escalated employment practice issues

  • Drive corporate wellness initiatives

  • Culture/associate engagement action planning

  • Post-acquisition integration

  • Union negotiation and management

  • Organization Design; developing we have the right structure in place to achieve the business goals

  • Organization Effectiveness; ensuring we have the right matrix, connection points, eliminate pain points across the teams

  • Business Unit Training Team; taking the business strategy and deliver training to enable the strategy

  • Up to 70% travel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years prior HR experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must live in district

Covered Districts:

  • DC Metro (Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland) and New England (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine)
